White House Dodges Question About Biden Being Mad at Nancy Pelosi

Reporter Peter Doocy of Fox News has made headlines yet again for his well-known ability to press Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House press secretary, for information she does not want to share.

Doocy asked the question that many Americans are dying to know the answer to—that is, how does President Joe Biden really feel about Nancy Pelosi? Rumor has it that the former House Speaker is in the doghouse after being a key player in promoting Biden’s replacement on the 2024 ballot.

Biden ended his campaign in July, endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris to take his place in November. The decision followed a disastrous debate with GOP nominee Donald Trump, sparking concern among Democrats that Biden was both unfit to lead and unable to win the election.

During a recent press briefing at the White House, Doocy asked Jean-Pierre “how mad” Biden is at Pelosi, considering her direct involvement in the end of his campaign. The press secretary replied by noting she has been asked the same question many times, adding she “think[s]” she has already provided an answer “multiple times.”

The Fox News reporter followed up on his inquiry, pointing out that the president only mentioned Pelosi by name in a recent interview discussing his suspended campaign. Jean-Pierre said that Biden “respects” Pelosi, who was described as his “good friend” despite a lack of evidence that the president has said anything positive about her recently.

Instead, the press secretary emphasized how Pelosi has intentionally praised the president lately—with no apparent return of compliments from him. Still not getting a direct response, Doocy pressed further, asking if there are “any hard feelings” between the two. Jean-Pierre said “no” and then added that Biden “respects” Pelosi, which she said she believes is “mutual” although she hesitated to “speak for” the president.

Last week, Pelosi told reporters that she has yet to speak to Biden since he suspended his campaign weeks before, adding that she would like to talk to him. When asked if things were positive between the two old friends, Pelosi said she “hope[d] so” but that people would “have to ask him.”
