Trump Reacts to Rumors of Alleged Animosity With Joe Rogan

Donald Trump insisted there is no tension between him and popular podcaster Joe Rogan, who recently endorsed Robert F. Kennedy for President. Speaking during a podcast with Lex Fridman, the former President gave his view on Rogan’s description of Kennedy as the “only candidate that makes sense.” He brushed it off, saying he doesn’t really know Rogan and had only shaken his hand here and there. Nevertheless, Mr. Trump did seem to object to Rogan’s remarks at the time, and on his Truth Social media account, suggested the podcaster would be booed at future public appearances.

Elsewhere in the Fridman interview, Trump addressed his social media activity and said he gets “into trouble” for reposting controversial remarks. He claimed he didn’t always know who was behind specific posts and quickly zipped through them. His comments come as media outlets and journalists expressed horror at some of Trump’s latest social media activity.

The former President recently shared a post containing graphic sexual comments about Vice President Kamala Harris and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, prompting outrage from several commentators. Trump’s spokesman suggested he hadn’t read the vulgar caption before reposting.

Fridman also questioned Mr. Trump about how he intended to prepare for his debate against Vice President Harris, and in his response, he addressed the 2020 election, which he has long insisted was stolen from him. Trump said advisers told him he needed to get 63 million votes to win, and added, “I got millions of more votes than that and lost by a whisker.” He then restated his allegation that the election was fraudulent and his supporters “wanted answers.”

The interview was part of a series of sit-down discussions with right-wing podcasters who enjoy large audiences, usually comprised of young men with conservative views – a demographic analysts say will be crucial for Trump in November. Trump has recently been interviewed by Elon Musk, Logan Paul, and perhaps most controversially, Adin Ross, a YouTuber known for sniffing people’s chairs. Ross gave Trump a Rolex watch and a car, prompting Democrats to file a complaint with the Federal Election Commission, which does not allow candidates to accept gifts with a value above $3,300.
