(RepublicanPeak.com)- Reports show that Erica Herman, an ex-girlfriend of Tiger Woods, is suing him in an effort to terminate the non-disclosure agreement (NDA) he had her sign when they first started dating.
According to Investopedia, a confidential connection may only be formed via the use of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). The parties to this agreement undertake not to disclose any confidential information they may gain. A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) may also be called a confidentiality agreement.
No nondisclosure agreement (NDA) can cover information that the disclosure recipient already knows. Information that is publicly available or may be legally accessed by another party cannot be considered secret.
According to a report, The Speak Out Act, which Herman is relying on to get out of the NDA, makes it illegal to have one in place where there is proof of abuse or harassment.
At this date, it is unclear if Herman will bring misconduct allegations against Woods.
An entertainment outlet had received court documents in which Herman claims that Woods is attempting to impose the NDA.
Herman claims in her court papers that the Speak Out Act, which makes pre-dispute NDAs involving assault or harassment invalid, means that the NDA should be found unenforceable.
Herman claims she needs answers from the court because she wants to talk about her life with Tiger Woods. She is asking the court to rule the NDA null and void and hence unenforceable.
Tiger Woods and his ex-girlfriend have made their already weird separation even more so.
According to reports of court records, Herman claims Woods’ friends convinced her to take a trip. Herman claims she was shut out and ordered not to return after departing.
According to the court filings, Herman accuses Woods staff of violating the oral tenancy contract and Florida law by coaxing her to pack bags for a brief trip and then telling her she was barred from entering the house upon her return.
