Puerto Rican Rapper Supports Trump, Visits Mar-a-Lago

Former President Donald Trump may not have the endorsement of Taylor Swift, the biggest pop star in America, but he does have some support from the music world that appeal to other demographics, the latest of which is Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA, who visited the former president at his Mar-a-Lago estate after recently endorsing him at a rally in Pennsylvania last month.

Anuel AA dropped by Trump’s Florida estate on Monday, Sept. 9, to show the former president his expensive armored truck, a moment that was captured on video and quickly went viral on social media. Trump can be seen greeting the rapper at the door and approaching the Humvee-style truck, which Trump said was a “serious-looking vehicle” from his “friend over here from Puerto Rico.”

In a longer video of the encounter posted on YouTube, Anuel AA thanks the former president for his efforts to earn Hispanic votes. The rapper thanked Trump for everything he’s “done for all Latinos” and the country and shook his hand, to which Trump responded by promising they would “make America great again” together.

On Friday, Aug. 30, Anuel AA endorsed the former president at a rally in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Also at the rally to announce their endorsements were Fivio Foreign, a rapper from New York, and Latin-American musician Justin Quiles.

During the rally, Trump called them up to the stage to deliver a few remarks and Anuel AA said it was a “blessing” to be there and told the crowd he was originally from Puerto Rico. The rapper said ever since Trump left office, “it’s not a secret” that the country has “been going through a lot.” He said that President Joe Biden and other politicians only make a lot of promises while Trump is the “best president the world” and the US “has ever seen.”

Anuel AA then called on other Puerto Ricans to “say united” and “vote for Trump,” adding that he “personally spoke” with the former president about his platform and that Trump “wants to help Puerto Rico grow” and become more successful as a country and to help Latinos in America.
