The latest Fox News poll found that Joe Biden’s job approval rating has remained steady for over a year, with only 44 percent approving of the president while 56 percent disapprove, placing the president 12 points underwater.
The last time Joe Biden held net approval in a Fox News poll was in September 2021 when 50 percent approved of the president while 49 percent disapproved.
According to Republican pollster Daron Shaw, who along with Democrat pollster Chris Anderson, conducts the Fox News poll, the president’s numbers “cratered” in the fall of 2021 after the bungled withdrawal of Afghanistan and the start of hyperinflation.
Since then, despite several legislative wins and the midterm election, Biden’s approval has “barely moved,” Shaw added.
And while Biden’s approval has remained steady overall, among several key voting groups, Biden is hovering very close to his lowest polling.
Among women, Biden’s approval has dropped to 43 percent, only 1 point away from its lowest rate in Fox polling.
For voters over 45 years of age, Biden’s approval is down to 41 percent, just 2 points from its lowest rating.
Biden is also losing support among suburban voters, with only 41 percent approving of the president, as well as rural voters (31 percent).
The president has also lost support among Democrats, with only 81 percent approving. Among Democrat men, however, Biden’s approval has dropped to 79 percent.
Only 35 percent of independents approve of Biden. However, that is still far better than his lowest rating of 26 percent in Fox’s poll from August 2022.
The majority of respondents disapprove of the president’s handling of specific issues like national security (53 percent disapprove) and foreign policy (54 percent disapprove).
But when it comes to border security and the economy, Biden’s disapproval numbers are sky-high, with 60 percent disapproving of his handling of the border and 64 percent disapproving of his handling of the economy.
