A Greek man known as the “new Nostradamus” predicted that the war between Israel and Hamas will evolve into World War III. Elder Paisios of Mount Athos, who died in 1994 and became a Saint in the Greek Orthodox Church in 2015, said the “battlefield” of Palestine represents the first half of an ensuing global conflict, “but there will be a second half.”
Elder Paisios furthermore predicted that Europe would go to war with Russia, and “much blood will be shed.” Describing the United States and the United Kingdom as “one nation,” Paisios said the two would work together to bring down the European Union.
The Greek Orthodox Saint is highly revered in his home country and among many Christians of various denominations. Among his warnings about the future, he said technology would advance at an “alarming rate,” and people would eventually become its slaves. He added that this technological revolution would drive people apart and that humans would lose “their sense of empathy and their ability to connect with others.”
Born in 1924, he spent much of his life as a Monastic Monk and preached faith to the people of his home village. He died from lung cancer in 1994, having received Holy Communion the previous day. Paisios’s prophecies are likened to the famous French philosopher Michel de Nostredame – more commonly known as Nostradamus.
The Frenchman lived from 1503 to 1566 and is considered by many to be the most famous and influential predictor of future events. He published Les Prophéties in 1555, and many believe he correctly predicted the rise of Adolf Hitler, the Kennedy assassination, and 9/11.
For 2024, Nostradamus warned of a “great naval war.” British newspapers have suggested that US and UK strikes on the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in the Red Sea may be the naval war he referred to. America and Britain together launched air strikes on Houthi bases over the weekend of January 13, and the group has vowed bloody revenge.
